The Physician’s Role
Helping with Patient Recertification

We rely on our network of Department of Labor enrolled physicians to help us coordinate the best possible care for our patients. Home health care coordination provided under the EEOICPA program requires recertification every six months. Our patients will come to you for recertification of their care plan to ensure no interruption in service occurs.
Ways to Assist Patients
Signing Patient Prescriptions
Write and review prescriptions for durable medical equipment.
Providing Accurate Records
You will receive requests for medical records, lab tests, appointment notes, and more.
Aiding in Patient Claims
You may be asked to review claims, initial causation, and consequential illnesses to the primary diagnosis.
Billing Process for Provider Compensation
On average, EEOICPA reimbursement rates are notably higher than Medicare/Medicaid. To bill the EEOICPA program for provided services, physicians must enroll in the OWCP Medical Billing Portal.
Your local Giving Home office is available to you as a resource during the enrollment process.
